The final design of the Atbara Bridge was prepared by a Norwagian Consultancy company. After the signing of the construction contract, ESPM studied the existing designs for the contractor. Following ESPM's recommendation, the bridge design was changed for achieving a simpler construction technique and saving time. Then, precast concrete beams were chosen in design, and piles under foundations. While piles and pears had been constructed, precast beams were prepared and cured on site. These equipment and technique were introduced by ESPM and procurement, consultancy, coordination and know how were integrated in to the project.
